The state of Nebraska has partnered with Lotto America to bring in its Monday, Wednesday and Saturday drawings, according to a local report in the North Platte Post. Nebraska first welcomed its state lottery in 1993.
Players can try out the $1 game for an opportunity to take home a $2m jackpot. The pot will continue to grow until someone wins.
Nebraska players will have access to the new game starting on May 19. Proceeds from the lottery sales will go to aid various events and causes around the state, including the Nebraska State Fair, program gamblers assistance, the environment and education.
Nebraska Lottery Director Brian Rockey told local news that the state is eager to offer players another lottery option.
He commented, “We are excited to add Lotto America to our product lineup. Many players have asked us to offer Lotto America in the past, and the game fits in well with our existing draw games.
“As with all Nebraska Lottery games a portion of every ticket sold goes to support good causes across Nebraska.”
Lotto America is a multi-state Lotto game that is available through 13 lotteries around the country.
It is currently available through the Delaware Lottery, Idaho Lottery, Iowa Lottery, Kansas Lottery, Maine Lottery, Minnesota Lottery, Montana Lottery, New Mexico Lottery, North Dakota Lottery, Oklahoma Lottery, South Dakota Lottery, Tennessee Lottery and the West Virginia Lottery.
Lotto America’s upcoming debut in Nebraska follows a recent move into Mississippi.
Mississippi lottery fans can expect a new lineup of games starting May 12. The state has partnered with Lotto America and will begin holding drawings on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays following the official launch.
