The Washington State facility said a full investigation is underway.

Swinomish Casino & Lodge has released an update on its investigation into a recent cybersecurity incident that has shut down the property’s casino and restaurants. The destination’s RV park and lodge have remained open, despite the investigation.

The facility said an inquiry into the incident is currently underway. However, the casino and restaurants will remain closed until further notice.

Swinomish said both its loyalty and rewards programs will be available to guests once the casino reopens.

The casino property went on to note that a reopening date has not been determined at this time.

Swinomish released a statement on its website, “We do not yet have an estimate on when our facilities will reopen.  We are working as quickly as possible to restore operations and will provide updates on this website and on our Facebook page as our systems come back online.

“In the meantime, we are working with law enforcement and leading cybersecurity experts to investigate the incident and determine the scope of the issue.”

Those who have current reservations for the lodge or the RV park will still be able to stay at the property. However, the facility will not be booking future reservations until the cybersecurity issue is resolved.

Swinomish said customers will be notified should the investigation reveal that data was compromised. The group advised patrons to keep an eye on their accounts as a precaution.

Swinomish said, “While our investigation continues, out of an abundance of caution, we recommend that individuals remain vigilant by checking their account statements and monitoring their free credit reports for any suspicious activity.”
