Blue Man Group-themed Pinkbox Doughnuts will be sold along the Las Vegas Valley metropolitan area among others in Nevada and Utah as part of the group's latest Vegas tour. The promotion provides opportunities for show-goers to continue their night in casinos such as the Plaza, which has a Pinkbox Doughnuts at its entrance.
The Blue Man Group is set to play its 24th year of Vegas shows every day of the week between 5pm and 8pm throughout April at the Luxor.
Two doughnuts have been created as part of the promotion. Blue Man Pooh is blue icing and buttercream doughnut with sprinkles and a marshmallow, while the Throwdown, based on the band's non-verbal communications, uses a blue frosted shell, a Cap’n Crunch marshmallow and a variety of colorful toppings. This second doughnut in particular is also expected to play a role in the band's coming shows.
On the doughnuts, Pinkbox Doughnuts EVP Judith Perez Siegel said, “We are excited to start this colorful partnership, pairing our delicious and whimsical doughnuts with the extraordinary entertainment of Blue Man Group.”
The Plaza's Pinkbox Doughnuts has been an effective attraction for customers since opening in 2023, especially those exiting neighboring Circa Resort & Casino – perhaps late at night after a few beverages!
The aforementioned Plaza Hotel & Casino is currently run by CEO Jonathan Jossel, who Gambling Insider Editor Tim Poole spoke with in last year's US edition of the CEO Special.
The youngest gaming license holder in Nevada, Jossel spoke of the fear many have of trying new things but stated, “You try things, you keep that energy and you stay humble. Because actually, that’s when you keep learning and keep being open to new things, as opposed to thinking you know everything better.”
While attendance from groups of Blue Man Group fans fueled by Pinkbox Doughnuts at the casino may provide an interesting spectacle for Jossel and the staff of the Plaza Hotel & Casino, we doubt it is something they can’t handle.
