Evolution Gaming was founded in 2006 in Riga, Latvia where it made a huge impact on the European model for live dealer platforms. In 2012, the company launched its first mobile gaming app, and the following year it opened a studio in Spain.
In the same year, Evolution opened its 100th live table at its Riga studios, making the company the largest single-site casino operation in Europe. In 2014, the company opened its Malta studio, expanding Evolution’s international arm for dealer teams and localized tables.
The following year, Evolution was listed on Nasdaq First North Premier. It also opened a studio in Belgium and launched its reputed Dual Play system. The Dual Play is a complete, bespoke, turnkey solution for roulette games which has proven to be one of Evolution’s more popular products.
2016 marked another impressive year of expansion for the company: they opened a studio in Romania and engineering hubs in Estonia and Netherlands. Its strong presence in Northern Europe led to it being listed on the Nordic Nasdaq.
Evolution showed its international ambitions in the late 2010s and early 2020s, launching an establishment in Canada, a production hub in Georgia and a live casino studio in New Jersey. In 2020, its famous and popular Lighting Roulette product was released.
US expansion continued with live casinos being opened in Pennsylvania and Michigan. In 2021, Evolution won Live Casino Supplier of the Year for the 12th year running at the EGR B2B awards, cementing its status within the industry.
