Bally’s launches iCasino in Rhode Island, 7th state to offer iGaming

Following a four-day technical trial period, Bally’s has launched its online casino in the state of Rhode Idlans.  

This makes the Ocean State the seventh state in the US to offer online casino games.

Initially, 170 slot-style games will be offered, including many brick-and-mortar/retail casino games. Features such as a live and interactive dealer at the blackjack table will also be available.  

Bally’s is looking to expand its presence in the iGaming sector with this move, currently owning and managing 16 casinos across 10 different states – with another under construction in Chicago. Its ventures also extend to the ownership of a golf course in New York and a horse racetrack in Colorado.  

President of Bally’s Rhode Island operations Craig Eaton said the operator is “pleased to launch this new gaming product which is borne out of our partnership with the General Assembly.”

Senate President Dominick Ruggerio added, “I was proud to sponsor the legislation authorizing iGaming in Rhode Island. IGaming will ensure Rhode Island remains at the forefront of the competitive gaming industry.  

Additional speaker K. Joseph Shekarchi believes this move is a “wonderful example of how the legislature and the private sector can work together to develop initiatives that enhance state revenues, which in turn, benefit our taxpayers.” 

The move comes shortly after Bally’s reported a net loss of $61.8m back in November, despite a positive increase in revenue.
