Sporttrade and Birches Health partner for Problem Gambling Awareness Month

Sporttrade and Birches Health have partnered to create services and resources to build public awareness and combat problem gaming during Problem Gambling Awareness Month (PGAM). 

This year’s PGAM will be led by the National Council on Problem Gambling, focusing on the theme of ‘every story matters.’ The theme has already been championed in Pennsylvania by bodies including the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) and Pennsylvania Lottery, with Sporttrade and Birches Health now also adding their contribution. 

The partnership will focus on building responsible gaming resources and services for users of Sporttrade’s sports betting platform. This will include promoting awareness, prevention and treatment for problem gaming, as well as providing customizable safety options on the Sporttrade platform.  

Birches Health provides behavioral health services with a focus on problem gaming. Some of these services include online education, clinically led problem gaming treatment and learning modules. On the partnership with Sporttrade, Founder Elliott Rapaport said, “Through a collective focus on the promotion of responsible gaming and sustainable play, we are ensuring that individuals are able to access these resources. 

“We are pleased to partner with Sporttrade to ensure that individuals looking for these resources are able to swiftly and securely access high quality care.” 

Sporttrade CCO Arpita McGrath added, “In the initial conversation with Birches Health, it was a no-brainer that this industry needs this and I want to make sure Sporttrade patrons have access to this valuable resource. My biggest question at the end of the initial conversation with Birches was – ‘How quickly can we implement this?.’”
