MediaTroopers gains license to be an affiliate in Maine

Digital marketing agency MediaTroopers has obtained a temporary license to operate as an affiliate in Maine.
MediaTroopers has expanded its US presence by securing a temporary license to operate in Maine.
The license, granted by the Maine Gambling Control Unit, enables MediaTroopers to promote its licensed sportsbook partners in the state.
The marketing agency is now licensed in 14 states and active in 25 states as well as Ontario, Washington DC and Puerto Rico.
Sports betting became legal in Maine on July 31, 2022. The legislation allows betting at casinos, as well as through online platforms that are licensed by the state.
Operators such as Caesars Sportsbook and DraftKings currently hold licenses. State Tribes can also offer statewide mobile sports betting and operate sportsbooks at gaming facilities.
Co-Founder and CEO of MediaTroopers Shmulik Segal commented: “Being on the ground in Maine is another huge milestone. But for us, the work has just begun. As in every new state we enter, it’s all about creating the right conditions to allow our clients to hit the ground running.
“Receiving the Maine affiliate license is a testament to our team’s hard work and our commitment to obtaining all the relevant licenses – even when the licensing process is a big initial investment of time and resources. We believe in maintaining compliance and excellence in the iGaming industry.
“Maine’s welcoming approach to sports betting provides an exciting opportunity for us to leverage our expertise and contribute to the growth of a responsible and dynamic market. Our goal is to ensure Maine residents have access to the best and most responsible online gambling experiences, and we are eager to work with our partners to make this a reality.”
At the beginning of last year, MediaTroopers announced it had obtained revenue share licenses in all US states.
In October 2023, Co-Founder of MediaTroopers Benjamin Truman resigned.
Meanwhile, in January of this year Tribes in Maine pushed to expand their online sports betting rights in the state to include harness racing, online gambling, casinos and electric beano.
