Oregon Lottery offers DraftKings Sportsbook themed bets tailored for Taylor Swift fans

DraftKings Sportsbook has created a series of themed bets for this week’s Super Bowl LVIII matchup that are designed for Taylor Swift fans. The Oregon Lottery has opted to offer this feature to players throughout the state.

These “for the Swifties” themed wagers are directly tied to Swift’s songs. Sports fans can bet on various aspects of the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers game based on certain Taylor Swift tunes.

“Shake It Off” allows fans to wager on which team will score first, while “Wildest Dream” gives players a chance to bet that Travis Kelce would score the first and last game touchdowns.

Oregon Lottery Sports Betting Products Manager Kerry Hemphill commented, “The fanfare and celebrities at this event generate the most interest in sports betting we see all year.

“The ‘Taylor’ effect may also result in more casual sports betters taking a chance to have fun.” 

During last year’s Big Game, players in Oregon wagered close to $5.3m and placed close to 307,000 bets through the DraftKings Sportsbook.

Legal sports betting has been available in Oregon since October 2019. Since the Oregon Lottery opened the regulated market, players have wagered nearly $1.75bn.

The American Gaming Association (AGA) has estimated that 67.8 million American adults are expected to wager on this year’s Super Bowl and bettors could wager close to $23.1bn on the game.

Super Bowl LVIII will be held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on February 11. The game starts at 6:30PM.
