PrizePicks releases new peer-to-peer fantasy sports game

North American daily fantasy sport (DFS) operator PrizePicks has launched PrizePicks Arena, a new peer-to-peer fantasy sports title. The game will make its debut in Alabama, Tennessee, West Virginia and Wyoming.

PrizePicks Arena allows players to show off their skills by competing against other players. The new title “builds on PrizePicks’ existing game and extends the second screen sports entertainment experience within the PrizePicks community,” the company said.

The game allows users to play for guaranteed prizes by creating the highest-scoring entries within their assigned groups. Players are placed in groups that match their selected entry fee, number of entries and their experience level.

Fantasy sports fans can access PrizePicks Arena on iOS and Android devices.

Company VP of Innovation Brian Huss said the company is excited to bring titles to fantasy sports fans that puts them in the middle of the action.

He commented further by saying, “We’re focused on expanding PrizePicks’ reach by creating new, innovative game types that push the PrizePicks brand and truly put sports fans at the center of gameplay.”

He went on to add that the new title could potentially inspire other product developments.

Huss commented, “PrizePicks Arena is an exciting new twist on the PrizePicks experience that paves the way for future product innovations.”

PrizePicks said the company is working on launching the new title in additional states following the initial release. The company was recently awarded a fantasy sports license in Tennessee.

The recent approval is part of the company’s strategic plan to expand its reach within the US.
