StubHub says Las Vegas Grand Prix is top-selling F1 race worldwide

The inaugural Las Vegas race starts tomorrow.

Secondary ticket marketplace StubHub has reported that this week’s Las Vegas Grand Prix is “one of the top-selling events globally this year,” according to a local report in the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Previously falling hotel rates have also stabilized, local news said.

The Formula 1 Grand Prix race will run from November 16 to November 18 (19th for some other time zones). The event will kick off with an opening ceremony.

All 20 F1 drivers are scheduled to attend the opening festivities, as well as various musical acts and Las Vegas Strip performers.

StubHub offers race fans access to F1 tickets for multiple events. However, current trends show that the inaugural race in Las Vegas has moved to the front of the pack as the “best-selling F1 race of 2023.”

StubHub spokesman Adam Budelli said in a recent statement regarding ticket sales, “The Vegas Grand Prix, marking the city’s return to hosting F1 races after decades, is the top-selling F1 race worldwide on StubHub and one of the most in-demand sporting events of the year.

“As an event that is often hailed as one of the most premium experiences in live sports, it is a unique opportunity for someone to get their hands on a ticket to a bucket list event at a price that’s staying steady.”

Average prices for tickets on StubHub are running close to $2,100 for the three-day event, according to recent data. StubHub also offers lower price tickets, starting at $846.

The good news for race fans is that ticket prices have dropped nearly $200 since last week, with nearly 1,400 multiday tickets still up for grabs.
