IGT and Kentucky Lottery extend partnership until 2036

Part of the agreement includes upgrading the state system to include a cloud-based iLottery feature.

IGT’s subsidiary, IGT Global Solutions Corporation, has extended two deals with the Kentucky Lottery. Both contracts will continue until 2036.

Per the terms of the amended agreements, IGT will install its Aurora platform to upgrade the Kentucky Lottery’s current central system. The new platform will give the state lottery access to an iLottery system that includes clou integration, as well as point-of-sale hardward for 3,400 lottery retailers throughout the Bluegrass State.

Kentucky Lottery Corporation President & CEO Mary Harville outlined the history of the lottery’s relationship with IGT and said the group is eager to extend the partnership.

She commented, “The Kentucky Lottery has partnered with IGT since operations first began and we have continued to look for ways, in partnership with IGT, to modernize our offerings over the last 30-plus years.

“Enhancing our lottery solutions with IGT’s retail and iLottery systems and convenient self-service retail terminals will provide more opportunities for us to responsibly grow our sales and return additional funds for scholarships and grants for Kentucky college students.”

IGT COO Global Lottery Jay Gendron discussed the company’s desire to remain future focused and to continue building on its longstanding collaboration with the Kentucky Lottery.

He said in closing, “The Kentucky Lottery has always been at the forefront of lottery innovation and IGT is pleased to continue supporting these modernization efforts.
