The Venetian to embark on $188m convention center renovation project
The destination said construction will be conducted in stages during the next two years.
Las Vegas’ The Venetian Resort has released details regarding a project to update its convention center. The company said the renovation of its meeting space will be “completed in stages between 2024 and 2026.”

The design concept is based on celebrating the resort’s past while “reinventing the future.” The resort shared a rendering of the project on social media and said it is confident that the renovated space will surpass its guests’ expectations.
The company said in a recent social media post, “We are excited to unveil a new chapter in exceeding our clients’ expectations as we reimagine what meetings can be with a new look for The Venetian Convention Center.”
The Venetian Resort brings a Renaissance Venice vibe to the Las Vegas Strip. The casino hotel stands on the previous home of the Sands Hotel, which was imploded in 1996.
Prior to its construction, architects and artists traveled to Venice, Italy to seek inspiration for the Renaissance-style destination. Construction was completed on the resort in 1999.
The Venetian recently unveiled its high limit gaming lounge, which was designed by Wimberly Interiors. The addition is part of The Venetian’s $1bn resort renovation and redevelopment plan.
The lounge resides on The Palazzo casino floor and is comprised of 15,000 square feet of gaming space.
Guests can get in on the action of high-stakes gaming in the room’s two curated spaces. One space offers table games, while the other features high-end slot machines. The new lounge features a bar, as well as restrooms, cashiers and a private casino host exclusive access.
Players will have several gaming options in the new space, including traditional slots, video slots, jackpot offerings and both single and multi-hand poker. All games for expedited jackpot payments will have self-pay available.
