Osage Hotel and Casino opens in Pawhuska
The new hotel sports a whopping 259 slot machines.
The Osage Nation has opened the doors to its Osage Hotel and Casino in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
Construction on the property began in June 2021, with plans for it to be completed by the fall of 2022 to replace the existing casino, which was opened in 2003.
The electric wonderland boasts no table or card games but beholds 259 slot machines, illuminated rooms, 47 hotel rooms and a 3,000-square-foot event space.
Osage Hotel and Casino spans a total of 87,808 square feet, with four stories, including direct pool deck access against the backdrop of Oklahoma hills for first-floor guests.
Buffalo Ascension is the casino’s self-proclaimed standout slot, which ‘tempts players with six towering, curved screens and a perpetually escalating jackpot, presently surpassing $10,000.’
The hotel and casino is a smoking casino so although air vents are located throughout the space, a faint whisper of cigarette smoke still persists.
As for restaurants and other amenities, the Big Spoon Bar and Restaurant is the main place to dine, serving a range of items from a $11 half-pound smash burger to a $32 10oz ribeye; and whilst eating you will be under a wide display of televised entertainment.
Furthermore, there are also other amenities including a poolside bar and a spacious concrete patio.
The new casino has also created an extra 100 hospitality jobs for residents of Oklahoma.
Osage Casino in Pawhuska is one of seven Osage Casinos owned and operated by the Osage Nation. The other six are in the Oklahoma cities of Bartlesville, Hominy, Ponca City, Sand Springs, Skiatook and Tulsa.
