DraftKings aims to enhance the fan experience for FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023

Could the US team become the first soccer team – male or female – to win three World Cups in a row?

With the women’s World Cup beginning today, DraftKings has announced its odds for who it thinks will win the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup; and has revealed some extra engagement tools to showcase its support for women’s sports. The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup is the ninth edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The tournament is jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand and is taking place from 20 July to 20 August 2023. In addition, this tournament is the first to feature the expanded format of 32 teams from the previous 24, replicating the same format used for the Men’s World Cup from 1998 to 2022.

The opening match was contested between New Zealand and Norway at Eden Park in Auckland on 20 July 2023. The final will take place on 20 August 2023 at Sydney Olympic Stadium in Sydney.

Despite the odds for the US being the obvious favourite (+250), it will face some tough contenders in England (+350), Spain (+450) and Germany (+650) to win the World Cup trophy.

The United States is the defending champion, having won the previous two (2015 and 2019) tournaments. No men’s or women’s team has won three consecutive World Cups, so if the US wins this tournament, they will be the first-ever team across men and women to win three Cups in a row.

Also, if the US won it would be their fifth WWC title overall and that would tie the USA women’s team with Brazil’s male team with the most World Cup titles of all time.
