IGT releases its PlaySports betting kiosks across Ohio
It has reached a deal with BetSkybox that allows it to operate in licensed restaurants and bars.
IGT will be releasing its IGT PlaySports technology into the Ohioan market through a deal struck with BetSkybox. This agreement will allow the company to deploy its IGT PlaySports QuickBet kiosks at licensed bars and restaurants across The Buckeye State.
BetSkybox President Ron Frederickson commented: “BetSkybox is thrilled to deliver IGT’s sports betting technology to our licensed partners and offer the convenience of PlaySports’ self-service betting solutions to the many sports fans throughout Ohio.
“IGT’s betting solutions will add another layer of excitement as patrons gather at these social establishments to watch their favorite sports and teams.”
IGT PlaySports solutions has launched both Class A and C licensee partnerships in Ohio, which demonstrates the reach that it has in this recently launched market. Ohio launched sports betting at the beginning of the New Year and sportsbook operators have flooded the market since.

Skybox Sports Network and its BetSkybox division, and brand, have been awarded a conditional Type C proprietor sports gaming license from the Ohio Lottery and Ohio Casino Control Commission.
Its sports betting kiosks will not be deployed across all partner companies of IGT throughout The Buckeye State.
