Greco granted licence to operate in New Jersey
The supplier launches its gameplay risk engine product in its first US market.
Tech company Greco has obtained a licence to supply its gameplay risk engine product to New Jersey’s gaming operators.
A European company, Greco’s entry into New Jersey as a licensed vendor marks its inaugural US bow.
The supplier says it will now be able to support the efforts of operators to defend against bonus abuse and other unintended losses.
Resorts Casino and Hotel’s digital arm, Resorts Digital Gaming, has already signed a partnership with Greco for its services.
Greco hopes its first deal in New Jersey with Resorts Digital Gaming will herald a wider shift in how New Jersey operators deal with bonus abuse, something it calls a growing trend in online gambling.
Resorts Digital Gaming CEO Ed Andrewes said: “The fact that Greco is now registered as a vendor is great news for us and other operators in the state.
“Greco’s risk engine will enable us to combat one of the biggest challenges we’re facing now, and we are looking forward to leveraging off their considerable experience in the European market.”
According to Greco’s Ozric Vondervelden and Phillip O’Driscoll, bonus abusers in New Jersey can extract as much as $17,875 in bonus and sign-up offers using false identities.
The supplier says it is currently in talks with other New Jersey-based operators, in a bid to expand its offering in the Garden State.
New Jersey generated $485m in gaming revenue for September this year, reflecting a 7% growth year-on-year.
