Gaming Innovation Group partners with Betsson in Colombia
The agreement adds Colombia to a growing list of partnerships between the two companies.
Gaming Innovation Group Inc. (GiG) has announced the signing of an agreement with the Betsson Group to provide its platform in Colombia. This agreement confirms a partnership that was initiated over a year ago.
This deal also follows the takeover of regional operator colbet.co by the Betsson Group in June of last year and a subsequent agreement to migrate onto GiG’s Sportnco’s platform in July of 2021.
Both online and retail activity from Betsson has increased in Colombia through this year, underlining the contribution of GiG’s player account manager.
After signing Betsson, GiG has landed its third partnership in Columbia. The group has knowledge and experience in delivering complex and highly regulated markets in Latin America, making the company a top choice for operators.
The Colombian market is expected to be a fast-growing prospect for the gaming industry. According to H2 Gambling Capital, online gross profits in the country were reported at $420m in 2021.

The agreement has been signed for an initial period of two years and can be further extended if desired.
Betsson Group Commercial Director of Southern Europe and Latam Andrea Rossi stated: “As part of our rebranding in Colombia, we migrated to GiG’s platform which we are using in some of our other markets.
“We chose GiG as we believe that they are the best partners with whom we can keep growing in the market of Colombia. We know the platform and its capabilities, and we have a very good relationship with the team and this latest partnership solidifies that connection.”
Betsson operates in 19 countries globally, offering online casinos, proprietary sportsbooks and other online games.
