PointsBet reports $93.9m in North American revenue during 2022
The company experienced significant growth both in its fourth year and fiscal year.
Australian bookmaker PointsBet has published both its Q4 and 2022 financial results. The company reported strong numbers overall, generating a total handle of $5bn for the year, an increase of 32% when compared to last year’s total.
In North America, the bookmaker posted $93.9m in revenue for the 2022 fiscal year, rising 122% year-over-year.
Results from PointsBet’s fourth quarter report reflected similar trends. Revenue in the US grew by 72% during the year, climbing to $30.4m during Q4. Turnover in the US rose by 37%, reaching a total of $2.4bn.
PointsBet experienced American growth during 2022. Within the US, PointsBet currently operates in Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, and West Virginia, with online casinos in Michigan, New Jersey and West Virginia.
Since the first of the year, the company has launched online sports betting in New York and Pennsylvania, and it was approved in Wyoming as an online sports wagering operator. The company launched iGaming in Pennsylvania in April.
It is also an approved sportsbook operator of the NFL, an authorized sports betting operator of the NBA, and the official sports betting partner of NBC Sports.
The company has expanded its presence in Canada as well. The Ottawa Redblacks, TD Place and PointsBet Canada recently signed an agreement that will make the operator the official sportsbook of the team. The multi-year deal took effect this season.
As part of the agreement, PointsBet Canada’s logo will be displayed on all Redblacks jerseys during the season. TD Place will also feature PointsBet Canada’s brand.
