Mexico’s Lotería Nacional launches commemorative ticket honoring property valuators
The special issue highlights the work of valuators responsible for assessing and managing Mexico’s federally owned assets.
The Mexican Lotería Nacional and the National Institute of Property Administration and Valuation (Indabain) unveiled a commemorative lottery ticket honoring property valuators and their role in managing federal assets.
The draw offers a top prize of MXN 7m ($927,400) across two series with a total prize pool of MXN 51m.
General Director Olivia Salomón and Indaabin President Pablo Israel Escalona Almeraya presented the ticket at the Federal Real Estate Heritage Center Gallery. The initiative recognizes professionals who determine property values and contribute to efficient management of federal and parastatal real estate assets.
Salomón said the ticket honors valuators accredited by Indaabin, noting their work ensures certainty, legality and justice in administering national assets. She referenced President Claudia Sheinbaum’s directive to apply specialized knowledge for public benefit and strengthen institutional integrity in managing national property.
The lottery operator emphasized its 255-year history of supporting causes and commemorating aspects of national identity. Salomón indicated the ticket serves dual purposes of highlighting valuators’ contributions and celebrating Indaabin’s 21 years of public service.
Escalona stated the commemorative ticket recognizes valuators’ contributions to economic development, legal certainty, market functioning and responsible property administration. He described valuation as requiring rigorous preparation and discipline for each appraisal, market study and value analysis.
The presentation included representatives from the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, the International Valuation Standards Council and the Pan American Union of Valuation Associations. Nicholas Talbot, CEO of the International Valuation Standards Council, and Teodosio Cayo Araya, President of the Pan American Union of Valuation Associations, attended the unveiling.
The commemorative ticket initiative represents Lotería Nacional’s ongoing strategy of issuing specialized draws that highlight professional sectors and public institutions while generating revenue for federal programs.
