Buenos Aires Lottery fosters education-to-work transition program

Buenos Aires Lottery (LOTBA) concluded its 2025 ACAP program, with over 100 students participating in activities designed to introduce them to the workplace and higher education.
The initiative, coordinated by the organization’s Change Management area, operated through collaboration between the Modernization and Administrative and Technical Management departments, which adapted sessions according to participating schools’ needs.
The 2025 edition incorporated participants from the lottery’s internship program, who shared their experiences as university students and responded to questions from attendees. The exchange gave students perspectives on transitioning from secondary education to professional environments.
Jesús Acevedo, President of LOTBA, attended the closing ceremony alongside Directors Maximiliano Letto and Ezequiel Dominguez. Officials recognized students for their participation and encouraged continued education and training. Sessions emphasized responsible gaming principles within the framework of the “Hablar es Ganar” (To Speak is to Win) campaign.
The program represents LOTBA’s ongoing efforts to support youth development in Buenos Aires while creating connections between education and employment sectors.
Acevedo recently addressed youth gambling concerns at LAPSYCONF, an international health conference held in Buenos Aires for World Mental Health Day, where he participated in a panel examining keys to supporting children and adolescents amid digital gambling proliferation.
During that conference, Acevedo outlined LOTBA’s youth protection initiatives, including blocking illegal gambling sites from public schools and the BA WIFI network, filing criminal complaints against unlicensed operators, and implementing responsible gaming tools on legal platforms.
He emphasized distinctions between legal platforms ending in .bet.ar, which undergo regulatory approval and identity verification requirements, and illegal sites operating without oversight.
The ACAP program and the campaign form part of LOTBA’s broader approach to youth engagement, combining education initiatives with gambling harm prevention efforts.
By involving lottery interns in the program, the organization provided students with mentorship from peers who recently navigated similar educational and career decisions while reinforcing messages about responsible gaming and digital citizenship.
