Bolivia’s gaming regulator, the Authority for the Supervision of Gaming (AJ), has sanctioned six illegal virtual bingo operators that were conducting unauthorized lotteries through live broadcasts on TikTok.
The sanctioned pages were found to be selling virtual bingo cards without any legal or technical oversight on a platform widely used by minors.
According to the AJ, these operators lacked official authorization, transparency mechanisms and secure payment processes.
Participants made transfers or QR payments directly to individuals, putting both their money and personal data at risk.
The regulator described the activity as deceptive and warned that such games expose players to potential fraud and result manipulation.

The AJ emphasised that only games formally authorized by the state guarantee fair play and data protection for participants.
The regulator said it continues to monitor social media platforms to identify and dismantle illegal gambling operations that attempt to bypass Bolivia’s legal framework.
