IGT launches first-ever Wheel of Fortune VLT in partnership with Gold Rush Gaming
The two parties hosted a series of exclusive player events for Illinois residents to celebrate the unveiling, as the VLT game is currently available on IGT’s Rise55 portrait screen cabinet.

International Gaming Technology (IGT) has officially transitioned its Wheel of Fortune slots game to a video lottery terminal (VLT) for the first time, developed in partnership with Illinois VLT operator Gold Rush Gaming.
“Building on an incredible legacy of almost 30 years of Wheel of Fortune slots, IGT is excited to partner with Gold Rush Gaming to bring the very first Wheel of Fortune game for VLT players to Illinois,” IGT Regional VP of Sales Tim Shortall said.
“Introducing the legendary Wheel of Fortune game to the Illinois VLT market adds an immediate player-favorite theme to our strong VLT content portfolio across the state.”
The newly released VLT game is currently available on IGT’s Rise55 portrait screen cabinet, which is said to include a 55-inch screen, enhanced lighting and modern ergonomics and was originally launched by the supplier in May 2025.
To celebrate the first-ever Wheel of Fortune VLT launch, IGT and Gold Rush Gaming hosted a series of exclusive player events for Illinois residents, with additional expansion still to be announced.

On August 14, Hard Rock Bet Casino became the first operator to launch IGT’s Whitney Houston slot title online when it debuted the game for New Jersey residents.
The game includes imagery and music themed around the acclaimed artist, unveiled in collaboration with the Estate of Whitney E. Houston and Primary Wave Music in June 2024.
