- The club’s players, including national team members Talia Jorgelina Rodich and Cristal Escalante, will use the new equipment in training and competition
The Chaco Lottery, in Argentina, has delivered new sports equipment to the women’s squad of Águilas Rugby Club, based in Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña, as part of its ongoing community and sports development initiatives across the province.
The donation was made by the organization’s president, Lucas Apud Masín, during a visit to the club’s facilities, where he met with players and coaching staff.
The initiative aligns with Lotería Chaqueña’s broader commitment to promoting access to sports infrastructure and supporting local teams competing at provincial and national levels.
Apud Masin said: “It is essential for us to accompany institutions that not only represent Chaco in tournaments but also serve as a space for community engagement and youth inclusion.”
The donation coincided with the women’s team’s participation in a national tournament in the province of Córdoba, where Águilas Rugby Club earned second place. The new training gear will be used for both practice and official competition.
The club currently has around 120 active players distributed among infant, pre-juvenile, youth and senior divisions for both men and women.

Águilas Rugby Club also has national representation through two standout athletes, Talia Jorgelina Rodich and Cristal Escalante, who are part of Argentina’s women’s national rugby team, Las Yaguaretés.
Rodich, who plays as a forward, expressed her gratitude after the handover: “Thank you so much for supporting us. Everything will be used to keep growing and performing at our best.”
In addition to their gaming operations, institutions such as Lotería Chaqueña allocate part of their revenue to community projects in areas including education, health, culture, and sports, contributing to the development of local organizations and athletic programs.
