Scientific Games wins contract to supply new central gaming system to Loto-Québec

Key Points
- The Momentum ecosystem will offer cloud-based, scalable and secure solutions connecting retail and online operations
- The deal extends a partnership of more than 50 years between the two organizations
Scientific Games won the contract to supply a new central gaming system to Loto-Québec following a competitive procurement process.
The system will be implemented through the company’s Momentum ecosystem, an integrated suite of technologies and services that connects retail, digital and operational functions to optimize lottery performance.
The new platform will replace Loto-Québec’s legacy system, offering enhanced performance, security and operational efficiency across its retail and online networks. It also aims to maximize contributions to the Corporation’s social programs that benefit communities across Québec.
John Schulz, President of Americas & Global Instant Products at Scientific Games, stated: “We are honored to further expand our more than 50-year successful relationship with Loto-Québec as its central gaming systems provider. Our advanced system is engineered for the future, delivering the performance, security and operational efficiencies that will support Loto-Québec’s sales and sustainability.”

Since December 2024, the company’s central systems have also been selected by Ohio Lottery and New Mexico Lottery, among others. Globally, Scientific Games has completed 50 system implementations and conversions in the past decade, including for The National Lottery (UK) with Allwyn UK and for Lotto New Zealand.
From its Montreal operations, Scientific Games supports several Canadian provincial lotteries. Marc-André Doyon, Regional VP of Operations, stated: “Our employees in Montreal are ready to take on this new opportunity. For decades, Scientific Games has produced more than 4,500 instant games for Loto-Québec, including its very first scratch game.”
