LexisNexis Risk Solutions to administer ROGA’s data clearinghouse program

Key Points
- As part of the initial phase, LexisNexis Risk Solutions will support the creation and administration of ROGA’s multi-state self-exclusion list for all members of the Association
- ROGA selected LexisNexis Risk Solutions for its “capabilities in data security, privacy and infrastructure,” as well as its experience in providing data and analytics workflow
The Responsible Online Gaming Association (ROGA) has officially selected LexisNexis Risk Solutions to support and administer its data clearinghouse program, beginning with an initial phase of rolling out the Association’s multi-state self-exclusion list to all members.
“We are confident that LexisNexis Risk Solutions’ expertise will be a valuable resource to provide high quality data security and checks that help the industry better protect players expressing the need to take a break from gaming by facilitating this break more broadly across operators and jurisdictions,” ROGA Executive Director Dr. Jennifer Shatley said.
“Through this clearinghouse, when a player self-excludes through a member operator’s online gaming site, that player will be self-excluded across all ROGA member online gaming sites. Expanding player self-exclusion beyond individual operators is crucial to ensuring that there are breaks from online gaming for those that need them across the legal online gaming industry.”
Through the data clearinghouse, ROGA will look to create an independent process which advances responsible gaming and consumer protection across the casino industry.
ROGA selected LexisNexis Risk Solutions for its “capabilities in data security, privacy and infrastructure,” as well as its experience in providing data and analytics workflow.
Good to know: ROGA partnered with the RGC on September 2 to begin the development of a new certification program, which will evaluate operators’ responsible gaming practices in areas such as self-exclusion, marketing, staff training and player support tools
“We are highly responsible custodians of sensitive data records and as such, this positions us well to support ROGA’s mission to advance responsible gaming across the industry,” LexisNexis Risk Solutions Senior Director Sean Britt said.
“By leveraging our expertise and commitment to security and privacy, we will help create a safe, standardized system that empowers the gaming industry to make informed decisions and strengthen consumer protection.”
LexisNexis Risk Solutions will look to provide organizations with analytic insights which help to make informed decisions and uphold the “highest standards” of security and privacy.
