Pennsylvania records $557.7m in gaming revenue for July 2025, iGaming grows 30.9%

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has reported the state’s total gaming activity throughout July 2025, including a revenue increase of 11.4% year-over-year to $557.7m, as well as an iGaming revenue increase of 30.9% for a total of $228.2m.
The significant increase in iGaming activity was led by Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course, which reported an online gambling revenue of $87.8m for July 2025 and increased 37.2% from the prior year period. The property also generated the highest gaming revenue amount of any casino which reports to the PGCB, totaling $103.4m while rising 30.1%.
Valley Forge Casino Resort managed to produce $88.8m of July 2025 revenue for growth of 19.2% year-over-year, as Rivers Casino Philadelphia reported an increase of 16.6% to $57.5m throughout the period. The properties also reported $61.2m and $37.8m of iGaming revenue, respectively, for July 2025, equating to increases of 34.1% and 26.6% year-over-year.
Slot machine revenue witnessed an increase from the prior year period as well, growing 2.1% for a July 2025 total of $208.5m.
Parx Casino led all operators in revenue for the gaming type throughout the month, reporting $30.9m but increasing by just approximately $300,000 year-over-year. Wind Creek Bethlehem’s slot revenue for July 2025 decreased by 3.8% to $23m, while Rivers Casino Pittsburgh generated $22.6m for growth of 2.7%.
Good to know: The PGCB placed 15 individuals on its various involuntary exclusion lists on June 25, including three adults who left minors unattended while participating in gambling activity at a Pennsylvania casino
For sports wagering in Pennsylvania, revenue fell 0.5% from the prior year period to $40.6m against a monthly handle of $412.5m. Valley Forge Casino Resort managed to produce $15.5m of sports betting revenue for July 2025, taking in $140.9m worth of wagering throughout the period.
Hollywood Casino at the Meadows and Hollywood Casino York reported July 2025 sports wagering revenues of $11.3m and $2.7m, respectively, against reported handles of $112.3m and $28.4m.
On August 20, the PGCB also renewed the licenses of Presque Isles Downs and Casino and Hollywood Casino Morgantown, as well as removed gambling privileges from 18 individuals for various penalties.
