FanDuel TV hosted the sixth annual California Retirement Management Account (CARMA)thon on August 16, helping to raise over $200,000 for thoroughbred aftercare and also contributing $25,000 as part of the event.
“It is important to us to continue to give back to the horse racing industry through numerous charitable initiatives each year,” FanDuel TV GM Andrew Moore said.
“CARMA does tremendous work to help retired racehorses thrive in their second careers off of the track and we are thrilled to be able to support them in that mission.”
The annual event showcases stories of retired racehorses “thriving” in second careers as well as the donations which help to fund CARMA’s grant program, offering assistance to more than 20 Thoroughbred aftercare charities.
The CARMAthon fundraiser promotion represents one of “many” charitable initiatives supported by FanDuel in 2025, including thoroughbred aftercare, the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund and other causes which help guarantee the safety and welfare of those within the racing community.
FanDuel will also begin offering mobile sports betting in Missouri through a new market access agreement with the St. Louis City SC professional soccer team, formed on August 15.
