Flamengo may drop Pixbet as the team eyes a BR1bn master sponsorship deal

Flamengo is preparing to end its master sponsorship deal with Pixbet before the contract’s scheduled expiration in December 2025.
This comes as the betting company faces cash flow difficulties and has fallen behind on payments.
The current agreement, signed in 2024, includes an automatic two-year renewal clause worth BR250m but Pixbet has already indicated it will not exercise this option.
Discussions are ongoing to determine whether the partnership will be terminated immediately or at the end of the year.
The departure would also close down Flabet, the club’s official betting platform, which is operated through PixBet. A renewal would have earned the club an additional BR50m.
In the meantime, Romanian betting operator Superbet has emerged as the frontrunner to take over the prime shirt sponsorship space.

The new proposed deal could reach up to BR1bn over its term, including performance bonuses and more, as Superbet has a similar current agreement with São Paulo FC, which is valued at BRL 600m with potential to reach BRL 1bn.
If set, Flamengo would once again hold the highest-value sponsorship deal in Brazilian football, surpassing not only São Paulo’s contract but also those held by Corinthians and Palmeiras.
Flamengo has now confirmed that it has formally ended its sponsorship agreement with Pixbet by mutual consent.
The deal also covered licensing for the club’s Flabet brand. During the four-year partnership, Flamengo won multiple titles and the club stated its thanks to Pixbet and wished the company success.
As of now, Flamengo has yet to announce a new master sponsor.
