NIGC reports $43.9bn in revenue for FY2024

The National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) has released its financial report for the 2024 fiscal year.
Overall gross gaming revenue (GGR) reached $43.9bn last year, reflecting a $2bn boost when compared to figures posted in the previous year.
The report reflects audited financial statements from 532 independently audited gaming operations across 29 US states. These operations are owned by 243 federally recognized Tribes throughout the country.
NIGC Acting Chairwoman Sharon Avery described last year’s results as a win for the Indian gaming industry.
She commented, “This year’s GGR reflects not only the resilience of the tribal gaming industry, but also the dedication of tribal leadership in preserving and growing this important economic driver for their communities.
“The continued success of Indian gaming is a testament to the strong tribal governance and the sound regulation that protects the integrity of the industry.”

In addition to the growth in annual revenue, the report said NIGC regions Oklahoma City and Washington DC, reported double-digit growth when compared to their results posted in 2023.
Vice Chair Jeannie Hovland said, “These revenue numbers demonstrate the positive impacts of tribal gaming and the essential role it plays supporting tribal sovereignty, job growth, infrastructure, education, and important social, health, and welfare programs in tribal communities – just to name a few.
