Epic Global Solutions has partnered with US-based operator Underdog to deliver a series of responsible gaming workshops aimed at strengthening player protection practices through personal storytelling and frontline staff training.
The sessions, designed for Underdog’s customer-facing employees, focus on identifying early signs of problematic gaming behaviours and fostering healthier communication with players. Delivered by Epic’s lived experience consultants, including former NCAA and NBA point guard Stevin ‘Hedake’ Smith and ex-boxer Liz Thielen, the training gave staff a real-world understanding of how gambling can affect lives, regardless of game type or platform.
Epic VP for North America, Teresa Fiore, commented: “We’re very pleased with the positive start to our working relationship with Underdog. They have a deep understanding that responsible gaming practices must be at the core for any major operator, and it’s a constant and consistent process of learning and attentiveness.”
The programme, which focused on enhancing responsible gaming culture within the organisation, covered communication techniques, risk identification, and best practices for customer interaction.
