The student allegedly accessed the teacher’s CPF, Brazil’s national tax identification number, during a school bingo activity.
According to the teacher, the student initially asked for this information under the pretext of transferring BR50, as it’s a common data to be shared to do instant transfers. The situation raised suspicion when the student admitted he was using the teacher’s account to move funds linked to a betting win.
The investigation revealed that the student created betting accounts using the teacher’s personal information, likely to exploit bonuses offered for first-time users. This incident has renewed attention on how easily accessible data, even minor details, can be misused for identity fraud on gambling platforms.
