Scientific Games’ SCiQ technology pushing sales growth for Kansas Lottery retailers

The recently deployed SCiQ system aims to improve operational and inventory efficiency for lottery retailers, featuring optimized digital displays for simplified ticket ordering.
Key Points
- The technology is reportedly making a positive impact at participating chain retailers and independently owned stores in regions such as Wichita and Topeka
- In addition to retail point-of-sale technology, Scientific Games also currently provides the Kansas Lottery with a lottery gaming system, retailer management system and monitor games
After launching a collaboration on May 28, 2024, that helped to create the Scientific Games Enhanced Partnership program, the Kansas Lottery has reported that the company’s SCiQ technology has begun to drive sales at retail locations throughout the state.
“Our retailers embraced modernizing lottery in their stores. SCiQ has benefited their lottery sales and simplified operations at their check-out counters. The system helps maintain game inventory, rather than it being a manual function, and they like the product security the locked SCiQ bins offer,” Kansas Lottery Director of Sales & Marketing Stephen Ortiz said.
“Once the SCiQ project began with our chain retailers, word traveled like the wind, as they say in Kansas. It didn’t take long for our more progressive independent retailers to ask how they could get this technology in their stores.”
