Mike Bean appointed as CEO of Morongo Casino Resort & Spa

The Morongo Band of Mission Indians has appointed Mike Bean as the new CEO of Morongo Casino Resort & Spa, where he will now oversee all operations for both the resort and the Casino Morongo.
Bean most recently served as CEO of Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment, which appointed Daniele Chilton as the company’s new CEO on February 10. Bean was said to have overseen “successive years of significant growth” for the company’s gaming operations during his near four-year tenure.
He also held senior positions at Mohegan Sun, Foxwoods Casino Resort and Harrah’s Entertainment, having worked in the gaming industry for over 30 years.
“I’m thrilled to join the exceptionally talented team at Morongo, and to contribute to the continued growth and success of this iconic resort,” Bean said.
“Morongo is a nationally recognized leader in Tribal gaming, and has a long history of protecting Tribal sovereignty and nurturing new opportunities across Indian Country. I’m excited to build on that strong foundation to advance the Tribe’s vision.”

Bean will replace former Morongo Casino Resort & Spa CEO Richard St. Jean, who led Morongo for five years before stepping down towards the end of 2024.
“Mike’s extensive experience in tribal gaming and hospitality makes him an ideal fit for this role. He brings a deep understanding of the industry and a proven ability to lead teams toward continued success,” Morongo Tribal Chairman Charles Martin said.
“We are confident that his strategic vision and operational expertise will help Morongo achieve new heights as we continue to enhance our offerings and deliver exceptional experiences for our guests.”
Bean helped to launch Mohegan Sun Pocono, Pennsylvania’s first casino and Mohegan Sun’s first commercial casino, and served as CEO of Saginaw Chippewa Gaming Enterprises.
