Everi expands TournEvent platform into historical horseracing market

Everi Holdings has expanded its TournEvent platform to the historical horseracing (HHR) market with an installation at Gate City Casino in Nashua, New Hampshire. The rollout introduces slot tournament capabilities to the venue.
Gate City Casino, which houses more than 500 HHR machines, is operated by Delaware North, a global hospitality and entertainment company. Delaware North acquired the property in 2022 and incorporated HHR gaming in 2023. The addition of TournEvent aims to enhance competitive gaming options within the venue’s offerings.
TournEvent is a slot tournament platform with more than 5,000 enabled machines in over 400 casinos across North America. The system is designed to deliver fast-paced gameplay and competitive tournament features with real-time player engagement.
Jesse DeBruin, Everi’s SVP of Gaming, commented, “We are excited to launch the TournEvent platform with Gate City Casino, the perfect venue to introduce our dynamic tournament experience to players in the HHR market.”
The launch comes as Everi continues its strategic growth following shareholder approval of a $6.3bn merger with Apollo Funds. The deal, announced in November 2024, includes Apollo’s acquisition of International Game Technology’s (IGT) Gaming & Digital business. The merger is expected to close by the third quarter of 2025, with Everi shareholders set to receive $14.25 per share in cash.
