William Hill to host donation drop off in Southern Nevada

William Hill US is hosting a donation drop off to help collect items for people in need in Southern Nevada.

The drive-thru service will be available for individuals to drop off items at William Hill’s corporate office in Las Vegas from 9am to 5pm between 19 January and 22 January.

The items that people can drop off in a safe way including non-perishable food items, personal hygiene items, baby products, and paper cleaning items.

The drive-thru organized by the operator’s employees is inspired by The National Day of Service, which honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

All the items collected will be distributed throughout Southern Nevada, with help from Three Square food bank and the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center.

The service comes at a time where many residents in Nevada are suffering financially due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, with hospitality businesses severely impacted by continued restrictions.

Last week, Nevada governor Steve Sisolak extended the statewide pause which keeps restaurants, bars and casinos open at 25% capacity for another 30 days, after initially being reduced in November.

Also last week, William Hill announced a 16% year-on-year drop in net revenue for full-year 2020, down to £1.32bn ($1.79bn), although its US net revenue was up 32% due to strong growth online.
