The Cordish Gaming Group has announced the promotion of Robert Williams to VP of Gaming Operations at Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana, which is set to open during the first quarter of 2025.
Williams will be responsible for the implementation and execution of all casino operations at the new $270m-plus facility. Previously, Williams served as VP of Slot Operations and Guest Services at Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland.
“Robert’s knowledge of casino operations will be instrumental to our success as we introduce the Live! Casino brand in Louisiana,” Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana EVP and GM John Chaszar said.
“He embodies the Live! mission and is focused on setting the stage for the premier gaming and entertainment destination in the region.”
In his previous role, Williams was responsible for overseeing all aspects of slot operations, ensuring adherence to guidelines and policies and driving both employee and guest satisfaction. Prior to joining the Live! team, Williams held leadership positions at various casino properties in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Upon opening, Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana will unveil more than 47,000-square-feet of gaming space, including more than 1,000 slot machines, 40 live action table games and a sportsbook.
Live! Casino & Hotel Louisiana is expected to generate significant economic benefits for the area, including $35m in gaming tax revenues for Bossier City and over $168m for Louisiana within the first five years of operation.
