Baha Mar reaches new partnership with tennis icon John McEnroe

Caribbean resort Baha Mar has announced a new partnership with tennis icon John McEnroe, which includes appearances set to be made at the destination’s new John McEnroe Tennis Center.
From December 12-15, Baha Mar will be hosting its fifth-annual Baha Mar Cup, which will also represent the first event to be hosted inside the tennis center. McEnroe will be joining Baha Mar for a welcome party on December 13 that will include a performance with the Johnny Smith Band.
“John McEnroe is an icon, and his legacy in the tennis world is extraordinary,” Baha Mar President Graeme Davis said.
“We are proud to partner with him and bring the John McEnroe Tennis Center at Baha Mar to life. This state-of-the-art facility will be a game-changer for our guests and tennis lovers alike, further enriching Baha Mar’s world-class portfolio of amenities.”
The tennis center will feature eight courts, including six professional-grade hard courts and two Har-Tru clay courts, along with six pickleball courts as well.
Baha Mar will also shortly unveil a range of programs, clinics, resort tennis packages and private sessions designed for all ages and skill levels.

During the Baha Mar Cup, McEnroe will take part alongside other tennis stars such as Andy Roddick, James Blake and Taylor Townsend. The event benefits the Baha Mar Resort Foundation and the Mark Knowles Children’s Tennis Initiative, with all funds raised helping to grow the sport in the Bahamas.
