Review: Is the Platinum Hotel a good option to stay at for G2E 2025?

Fresh off of G2E 2024, we found that staying at The Platinum could be a good option for those planning to attend next year’s conference.

During my time attending the recent G2E show held in Las Vegas, Nevada, I stayed at The Platinum Hotel & Spa in one of its luxurious suites.

This destination was well worth the price and now rates on my list of top hotels in the country for a few reasons.

Upon check-in, I received a complimentary bottle of wine and had my choice between a dry red and a California Chardanay.

I chose the latter! The photos on the hotel’s website did not do this place justice. The Platinum’s suites were spacious, beautiful and clean, and could easily sleep between two and four people comfortably for a reasonable rate.

This is great news for those who are traveling together for work and want to save their company some money on accommodations.

All suites at the hotel have outdoor balcony access. My balcony had a table with a few chairs, along with a great view of Vegas.

The night view was spectacular despite the scorching Las Vegas October heat.

I was also impressed by the amenities in my room. My suite had a full kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, complete with an icemaker and cold-water access right from the outside of the refrigerator door.

This was nice a perk because it meant I did not have to leave my room for ice water at the end of a long day covering the expo (a big plus in Vegas).

The kitchen had plenty of dishes, including glasses, plates, pots and pans should you be the type who would rather cook simple meals in the room instead of dining out.

The second feature that made this hotel stand out was its access to great dining. During my stay, I tried a couple of meals from STIR Restaurant, located on the hotel’s ground floor. The meals here were reasonably priced and I was able to have a delicious dinner during two nights of my trip in the comfort of my room for close to $20 per meal.

The restaurant had plenty of seating as well, both at the bar and at tables. I appreciated that patrons have the option to order meals to go or eat in the restaurant.

Being able to take my food to go was convenient for me, and I saved money on beverages because of my ice water access in my room.

Well worth it.

If you are someone who enjoys hotel amenities, this place is great. My favorite feature of this destination was its indoor and outdoor pool, located on the fifth floor. This was a lovely space with plenty of lounge chair and pool access for those wanting to relax during the day (or in the evening in my case).

In addition to the pools, there was also a spacious hot tub. I have to say this was my favorite amenity because of its proximity to the pool. Not all hotels I’ve stayed at in Vegas give their guests access to the hot tub without any restrictions or reservation requirements.

However, there are some drawbacks connected with staying here that need to be noted.

First, the hotel is located about a block away from the Strip, which can be inconvenient for those who do not enjoy lengthy walks or would rather save their company money on cab fare.

Second, the hallway layout can be a little confusing. It was structured more like a labyrinth, which made it a little more difficult to find the elevator and stairway access.

That said, this is a hotel I would visit again – and is a great alternative option to consider if you’re booking in advance for G2E 2025.
