Las Vegas Strip July revenue falls 15% to $709.3m

The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) has published its results for the month of July. The state brought in more than $1bn in total gaming revenue for more than three years in a row, according to the report.
However, totals in July were down when compared to results from a year ago.
Revenue from the Las Vegas Strip last month reached $709.3m, down 15% year-over-year. Win on the Strip this time last year reached $834.9m.
Win results statewide reflected the same downward trend during July. Last month, overall revenue in Nevada totaled $1.3bn, reflecting a decrease of 6.9% or $0.1m when compared to results from July 2023. Total win last July reached an all-time high of nearly $1.4bn.
The state collected close to $95.9.m in percentage fees last month. This total also reflected a slight decrease when compared to what the state collected last year.
Though the Vegas Strip experienced a decrease in year-over-year activity, dDwntown Las Vegas reported a 10% boost in its revenue for the month.
Downtown reported $71.8m in revenue during July.
In other state news, the Nevada Gaming Control Board recently issued Playgon Interactive and its affiliate, Bitrate Productions, a cease-and-desist order. The board has requested that the company stop production of its live dealer content from its Las Vegas studio.
NGCB Chairman Kirk Hendrick signed the demand, which claims that “Bitrate is using live dealers in Las Vegas to deal games such as baccarat and roulette and broadcasts the content to online casinos located around the world.”
