DraftKings finalizes deal with Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians
The brand will launch its retail sportsbook at the Lake of the Torches Resort Casino later this week.
DraftKings has formed an agreement with the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians.
Under the terms of the deal and pending regulatory approval, DraftKings will start operating its retail sportsbook in Wisconsin at the Lake of the Torches Resort Casino on August 28.
DraftKings VP of Retail Sportsbooks Michael Kibort elaborated on the partnership and discussed the company’s current relation with the Tribe.
He commented, “DraftKings has established a great relationship with the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians, and we can’t wait to bring the DraftKings sportsbook brand to Wisconsin.
“Providing a best-in-class customer experience has always been a top priority for our company and the opportunity to deliver that experience to customers in yet another state is a proud moment for DraftKings.”
Casino resorts guests will have access to an over-the-counter window on the gaming floor, along with six DraftKings sportsbook kiosks.
Lake of the Torches Resort Casino CEO Bill Guelcher shared the casino’s sports betting goals and said that the destination is eager to work with DraftKings.
He said, “Lake of the Torches is excited to add retail sports betting to our property as a new gaming amenity for our valued guests to enjoy.
“Our goal is to implement sports betting operations with a strong brand recognition and extremely high-quality product performance, and we’re honored to collaborate with DraftKings as an industry leader.”
DraftKings recently released its My Stat Sheet, which allows players to track their personal stats and make decisions on how they want to play. The sheet is designed for players to interact with intuitive charts and with information to aid them in making informed decisions.

DraftKings said that this program is part of a company effort to further encourage players to engage in responsible gaming practices.
