National Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program to launch in four states this summer

Safe gambling technology provider idPair has geared up to launch its self-exclusion assistance program in Colorado, Iowa, Michigan and Tennessee.
The program will go live in August and will be available to players at no charge. The upcoming launch is part of the National Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program’s (NVSEP) first phase. The NVSEP was first announced in April.
The provider said in a statement, “Where states require a notarized form, a free remote online notary will be provided through the NVSEP platform to remove any cost for individuals.
“Importantly, there will be no changes to the respective state programs or how operators receive and process the self-exclusion information as part of this initiative.”
Players in these states can take advantage of these self-exclusion programs in casino, online sports betting, fantasy sports, horseracing and online poker, depending on availability in each state. Options per state are listed on the NVSEP website.
Jonathan Aiwazian, idPair’s CEO, took a moment to further discuss what the program entails.
He commented, “For the first time ever, individuals seeking a wider level of protection can self-exclude from multiple states in a streamlined fashion.
“While today we announce our ability to provide free assistance with self-exclusion in each of these four states, more jurisdictions are on the way, as we accelerate toward our goal of removing barriers for people seeking protection across all gambling jurisdictions and products.”
The provider also plans to roll out the NVSEP this summer in New England, pending regulatory approvals.
This pending launch is the result of a collaboration between the Massachusetts Council on Gaming and Health (MACGH), East Carolina University and idPair.
