Penn Entertainment and Golf Canada agree to multi-year partnership extension
theScore Bet will continue to sponsor Canada’s top national golf championships, the RBC Canadian Open and CPKC Women’s Open.
Penn Entertainment has announced a multi-year extension to its previously agreed upon partnership with Golf Canada, affirming that theScore Bet will continue to be the organization’s official gaming partner exclusively. The collaboration includes sponsorship of Canada’s high-level national golf championships, the RBC Canadian Open and CPKC Women’s Open.
The agreement also includes access for theSports Bet to activate during Golf Canada events and across its digital footprint. The partnership between Penn Entertainment and Golf Canada began in 2021, seeing theScore Bet create on-course activations including theScore Bet Skyline Seats, Hole Zero and the Greenside Lounge.
“We are thrilled to have theScore Bet continue as Golf Canada’s official gaming partner. theScore Bet has consistently elevated the spectator experience at our National Open Championships and we look forward to integrating their innovative and exciting fan engagements as we continue our partnership,” Golf Canada Senior Director of Partnerships Craig Sharp said.
Penn Interactive VP of Operations, Jason Birney, also expressed excitement about the continued partnership, having said “Golf Canada has been a tremendous partner over the last three years and we are extremely pleased to extend our relationship.
“The RBC Canadian Open and CPKC Women’s Open are foundational, best-in-class events that we’re proud to align theScore Bet brand with. Through our sponsorship and creative on-site activations, we look forward to providing golf fans with unique and memorable experiences in the years ahead.”
The 2024 RBC Canadian Open takes place May 30 at Hamilton Golf and Country Club while the CPKC Women’s Open will begin July 23 at the Earl Grey Golf Club. theScore Bet will be on-site at the RBC Canadian Open with its Members Lounge located in The Rink at the 13th hole. The Members Lounge offers theScore Bet account holders access to a reserved space to view the competition.
