Treasure Island Resort & Casino to host playoff watch parties
The resort will give away tickets and merch.
Treasure Island Resort & Casino has partnered with the Minnesota Timberwolves to host four watch parties during the Western Conference Finals.
Fans can attend these free events on May 22, May 26, May 28 and June 3 and watch the Dallas Mavericks play against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
As part of the festivities, the resort will offer free food and drink specials, playoff ticket giveaways and merchandise from both the team and the resort.
Timberwolves alumni and local media personalities are expected to attend the watch parties.
The resort said it is excited to be a part of the upcoming playoff action. Treasure Island commented, “Fans have witnessed remarkable performances and unforgettable moments from their hometown team, and now they have a chance to gather and celebrate together.”
The resort has collaborated with the Timberwolves for more than two decades and has represented the team as its exclusive casino partner.
Treasure Island Resort & Casino is owned and operated by the Prairie Island Indian Community. Its gaming floor offers both video poker and video keno machines, as well as 44 table games and more than 1,800 slot machines.
The casino also features a poker room and a high-stakes bingo hall that can seat up to 500 people.
The destination is home to an outdoor concert venue, marina and family-friendly water park in addition to its casino and 788-room hotel. Treasure Island is southern Minnesota’s only casino and is located along the Mississippi River.
In other state news, Minnesota’s House Ways and Means Committee recently approved a bill that would legalize sports betting statewide. Under the terms of the proposal, some gambling devices at horseracing tracks would be prohibited.
