MotorCity Casino Hotel promotes Stacey Young to SVP of Casino Operations

Stacey Young has got it going on…
Stacey Young has been promoted to the role of SVP of Casino Operations at MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit, Michigan.
Young’s first role of note was in the United States Marine Corps, where he served as a Sergeant from 1986 to 1992. His first role in the gaming industry was as a slot technician at MGM Grand Detroit in 1999, before becoming a Slot Technical Supervisor at the tail end of 1999 until late 2003 at Greektown Casino-Hotel.
In October 2003, Young joined MotorCity Casino Hotel as a Slot Technical Manager, before moving up to the role of Slot Project Manager in 2012. In 2015 he was promoted once again to Director of Slot Operations, before becoming VP of Slot Operations the year after.
On this latest promotion to SVP of Casino Operations, Young said, “I’m thrilled to be part of such an outstanding team and I’m excited to continue elevating the guest experience at MotorCity Casino Hotel.”
MotorCity Casino Hotel General Manager John Policicchio added, “Stacey’s dedication and expertise have been instrumental in delivering MotorCity Casino’s world-class experience. We’re eager to see Stacey continue to excel in his new role.”
In Michigan earlier this month, the Michigan Lottery signed a five-year primary contract with Pollard Banknote. Having initially partnered in 1996, this latest contract will see players given access to instant game tickets from Pollard Banknote. The state also reported its iGaming and sports betting revenue for February, which stood at $218.5m, down 4.8% from the month prior.
