Brazil Bets On New Entertainment Hub with Diamond Poker Club & Sportbar

João Pessoa is quickly staking its claim as a key player in Brazil’s regulated gambling market. Paraíba modernized its lottery and launched fixed-odds sports betting licenses in 2023, establishing a framework for safe and legal betting. The opening of Diamond Poker Club & Sportbar this week puts that framework into action, offering a fully regulated entertainment model that blends gaming, sports, and hospitality.

A New Hub for Regulated Entertainment in Brazil

Scheduled to open at 7 PM on Avenida João Maurício, Diamond brings together a Poker Member’s Club, a Sports Bar, premium cocktails, and state-authorized lottery games in one place. 

The launch will bring together local officials, business leaders, and special guests, marking a milestone for the state’s regulated entertainment scene

All lottery activities are supervised by the State Lottery of Paraíba (LOTEP), covering authorized sports betting and instant lottery games. 

Management emphasized the venue’s commitment to compliance and innovation, stating, “Diamond was created with the intention of offering an integrated, secure, transparent, and fully regulated experience, inspired by the best international practices in the gaming and betting sector, positioning João Pessoa as one of the emerging capitals for regulated entertainment in Brazil.”

Diamond Poker Club & Sportbar To Create 150 Jobs

The complex spans approximately 12,900 sq. ft. and can accommodate up to 400 guests. It operates daily from 2 PM to 2 AM and includes on-site parking with valet service, creating a VIP experience for patrons.

Diamond’s launch is expected to generate around 150 direct and indirect jobs, contributing to local economic development while formalizing the state’s gaming market. The initiative aligns with state policies designed to expand legal betting, protect consumers, and reduce informal operations, all while supporting social programs funded by LOTE P revenues, including education, health, sports, and social welfare.

Guests will enjoy a unique entertainment and dining experience, with gourmet options and a vibrant bar scene, complementing the poker and sports betting offerings.
