The Coushatta Tribe has announced a groundbreaking ceremony will take place on March 20 at 10am to mark the Coushatta Casino Resort’s newest series of upgrades and expansions.
The ceremony will take place at the Seven Clans statue, with festivities including Coushatta Tribal dancers and drummers performing a short program and cake cutting taking place after.
The public is invited to attend, but in attendance will be Chairman Jonathan Cernek and members of the Coushatta Tribal Council, Coushatta Casino Resort General Manager Todd Stewart, principals from TBE Architects, Yates Construction and the Wenaha Group.
The resort is getting a set of upgrades and expansions that will include a new eight-story 204-room luxury hotel with 100 suites and is set to be connected to the casino itself. Capacity at the Coushatta Casino Resort will be over 1,000 rooms once complete in 2025 (based on timeline progress) and will create additional employment opportunities for the region.
Tribal Chairman Jonathan Cernek said: “As construction commences, we are excited about all the new venues and upgrades that we will be able to offer our guests, starting with this new hotel.
“Our goal is to offer our players an elevated gaming experience, and that includes top-quality lodgings and high-end dining options. The Coushatta Tribe is leading the way in building an unsurpassed resort destination, both in the local market and in the entire region.”
