Connor McDavid features in the new 30-second spot launched by the operator.

The National Hockey League (NHL) Most Valuable Play (MVP) Connor McDavid has starred in a new BetMGM collaboration.

The short advertisement focuses on BetMGM’s portfolio of responsible gaming tools, raising awareness for the importance of responsible gambling. McDavid posted the advert via Instagram with the caption, “This message is all about being responsible if you choose to bet – staying in control and not getting carried away. That’s super important to me. And I really hope it’s advice that everyone follows.”

BetMGM has a specific Responsible Gambling Team – primarily used to highlight messages related to responsible betting in its advertising, marketing and social media campaigns. Developed and licensed alongside the British Columbia Lottery Corporation, BetMGM’s responsible gaming programme – GameSense – centers around messages related to the subject of responsible gambling and has won multiple awards.

Director of the Responsible Gambling team at BetMGM, Richard Taylor, commented, “We are determined to lead the industry in promoting responsible gaming and we’re proud to be doing so in partnership with one of hockey’s greatest players.

"As the legalized sports betting and online casino industry continues to grow and evolve, we remain committed to equipping players with information, tools and resources to help them play in a responsible and sustainable manner.”

BetMGM has hit the headlines repeatedly today alone.

Indeed, in Ontario, it has brought the Buffalo slot online. Meanwhile, the UK arm of the company (separate to the US brand and run by LeoVegas) today announced the sponsorship of the County Hurdle on Gold Cup Day at Cheltenham.
