Hoosiers can place wagers online through the app or bet in person at Bally's Evansville.

Bally’s has launched its Bally Bet mobile sportsbook in the state of Indiana. In addition to the online debut, the company has opened a retail sportsbook at its Bally’s Evansville casino.

Company President George Papanier took a moment to celebrate Bally’s latest launch.

He commented, “We are very proud to introduce our Bally Bet mobile sportsbook in Indiana, a state with a coveted sports history and a legion of loyal fans.

“We are also excited to open the Bally Bet Sportsbook at Bally’s Evansville.”

He went on to thank the Hoosier State for teaming up with Bally’s to make the launch possible.

He said in closing, “I would like to thank the State of Indiana for its collaboration throughout this process, and I would also like to recognize our team members for their contributions to this opportunity.”

The Hoosier State first welcomed legalized sports wagering nearly five years ago. Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb signed a statewide regulated sports betting bill into law in September 2019, a little more than a year after the US Supreme Court overturned PASPA.

Bally’s is currently building a permanent casino in Chicago. The company said it anticipates opening this destination by 2026.

Once completed, the venue will be home to 4,000 gaming positions, as well as to an exhibition hall, 500-room hotel, a 3,000-seat theater and 10 restaurants.

In other Indiana news, the state’s 13th casino will open in Terre Haute April 5. In celebration, Terre Haute Casino Resort (THCR) will give away free t-shirts for the first 1,000 guests, following a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:30AM opening day.

VP and GM Mike Rich expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming event by commenting, “Churchill Downs Incorporated is excited to open one of the premier gaming destinations in the Midwest on April 5.

“The launch of Terre Haute Casino Resort extends beyond physical structure; it's about creating a vibrant and integral part of this community, and we couldn't be more thrilled to bring this exciting chapter to life."
