The move follows the resignation of former CEO Michael Daly.

Following the resignation of CEO Michael Daly in late February, Catena Media has brought on Manuel Stan as the company's new CEO. Stan will be responsible for leading the company's North American and global operations, assuming his position on July 1 2024.

Stan comes to the role with nearly 18 years of experience in the gaming industry, taking on his first notable role in 2005 as a Sports Operator at BetBrain. He then went on to become a Sales Coordinator with the company in 2007, before joining Kindred Group later that year.

Being with Kindred for 16 years, Stan developed his career from a Marketing Campaign Manager to the Head of Digital Marketing to SVP, North America. He spent close to six years in this final role specifically, developing Catena Media’s affiliate program.

The resignation of Daly came soon after Catena reported its Q4 2023 figures, where revenue was down 41% year-on-year. North America operations, which account for 85% of Catena’s continued operations revenue, were down 43%, while adjusted EBITDA fell a sizeable 88% to €1.5m ($1.6m). Daly expressed dissatisfaction with the results.

On his appointment, Stan said, “I am delighted to have this opportunity to drive Catena Media forward on the next stage of its journey as the group takes on new challenges while further advancing its presence in North America.”

Catena Media Chairman of the Board of Directors Göran Blomberg added, “Manuel was the outstanding candidate for this position among the names considered and we are extremely pleased that he is joining us... His close knowledge of the North American market and of both the operator and affiliate sides of the business will be a significant asset for Catena Media.”
