This is the highest month to date for the state.

The Arizona Department of Gaming has released its November sports betting numbers. Bettors throughout the state placed more than $713.5m in bets during the month.

Wagers place in November grew by 15.7% when compared to results from November 2022. The state’s November sports betting results were the highest monthly total that Arizona has reported.

The state’s previous high was March 2022, which totaled $691m.

Arizona’s sports betting operators brought in more than $42.3m. However, the state’s gross gaming revenue (GGR) fell by 24.4% year-over-year and by 25.6% when compared to results from October.

Players placed more in-person wagers with DraftKings than any other operator. DraftKings posted almost $2.4m in wagers during November. FanDuel and Caesars followed close behind, with total wagers reaching $1.9m and $1.1m respectively.

However, FanDuel grabbed the number one spot for the largest online wagers. Arizona sports betting fans placed more than $249m in online bets during November.

DraftKings reported the second-highest online sports betting wager total in November, with $229m in bets. BetMGM players in Arizona wagered more than $91.7m during the month.

Arizona players walked away in November with more than $669m in winnings. Close to $663.7m in winnings came from online wagers, while players raked in another $5.7m in winnings from in-person betting.

Arizona collected close to $2m in privilege fees during November.

To date, more than 35 states have embraced regulated sports betting since the US Supreme Court overturned the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act of 1992 (PASPA) in May 2018, also known as the Bradley Act.
